Bill Flash Hollett 1940-44

Boston Bruins game used wool jersey

This relic of a wool jersey worn by two special Boston Bruin players of the time. First used by Bill Flash Hollett during the 194o-41 season in which the Bruins won the Stanley Cup. Flash wears this sweater for three years and Bep Guidilon wears it during his rookie season in 1943-44. Bep became the youngest player ever to play in the NHL at 16. Hollett is the fourth from the end in the 1942-43 photo, wearing number 12. Flash as you can see is wearing the soon to be retired number two for Eddie Shore in the 1943-44 capture. The Bruins changed styles to this one in 1940 and this jersey was used for 4 years as this was during war times and no new jerseys were being produced. This one shows over 25 repairs and amazing wear with no damage other than that produced during  those NHL season. This jersey was taken home by one of the Bruins trainers at the time and put away for many many years. SOLD
