Cal Ripken Junior bats are very tough to obtain. He was very careful with his equipment. This bat, shipped to the orioles great during the 1982 season, is just a spectacular example.
Obtained directly from a Blue Jays bat boy many years ago by me, it is just a perfect example for a Hall Of Fame Bat collection.
A p72 Louisville slugger, two tone, 35 inches in length and 32.4 ounces, this Walker type p- shooter was one of Ripkens favourite bats and ordered during his first few seasons in the major Leagues.
Cracked with lots of use on the left side barrel, correct for this right handed hitter. It show s a couple spike marks and has a very rare orange 8 on the barrel and a typical Ripken 8 on the knob.
Cal Ripken played in 2,362 consecutive games over a 16 year period and surpassed the great Lou Gehrig who played in 2,130, a record which had stood for 56 years. His 3,184 hits and 431 home runs at the short stop position along with the games streak record, landed him in Cooperstown amongst the greatest to ever play the game.
This bat is guaranteed to pass any third party authentication and is also backed by my COA which is a guarantee for life.
