Phil Roof 1977

Very interesting jersey here from long time major league catcher, Phil Roof. The Toronto Blue Jays traded for Roof on October 21, 1977 and released him after 3 games on October 25th. This would explain the set 3 denoted in the collar. It was not common for the Jays or most teams to have 3 sets of jerseys.
Phil Roff caught for 15 seasons in the majors while suiting up for the Milwaukee Braves in 1961, Cleveland Indians, Kansas City and Oakland Athletics as well as the Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox and fishing up with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1977.
