This jersey was worn by the crime dog himself, Fred McGriff. The jersey is spare tagged 88 for the season and is a size larger than McGriff usually wore but this one was done up for him to wear at home early in the season when it was still cold in Ontario Canada. It was sized up to accommodate a warm under garment, seen in the photo match below and was taken and is date stamped 1988. He would have been given his normal sets after this one was taken out of use. Really nice wear evident on all identifiers with the Wilson size 44 tag faded from several washings. The 1988 season saw him hit 34 home runs, knocked in 82 and scored 100 runs while hitting at a .282 clip. Hard to find jerseys from this newly minted and deserving Hall of Famer.
