Description
This is a first generation Bjorn Borg Donnay Diamant Match used racquet. This was used prior to Borg using Fairway grips exclusively on all his racquets. This grip is black and much thinner leather. It Is also ever so slightly wider than the Fairways that were to come. Both examples are shown in the pictures of Borg in the post. You can see the comparison to a Diamant with Fairway grip as well. This pearl weighs 402 grams. Borg would have used this Racquet as an 18 or 19 year old. These were used at the French Open, Wimbledon and anywhere he played during the mid seventies. This along with all the other Racquets come from Lennart Bergelin collection.
