This jersey was worn by Norman Aubin while playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He only played a total of 69 NHL games, all for the Leafs and also counting one playoff game in 1983, to his credit. Nice game use on this Leafs gamer.
My memory of Norman was him coming out of North York Centennial Arena after practise, carrying 6 brand new official Leaf pucks. There was myself and a few other kids getting autographs and when we saw the pucks, naturally was asked if we could have one. There were 6 kids and he gave them all away and said, well, I guess I will have to get some more for me now. Super nice guy and always had time to sign and talk to the kids at the rink. This jersey would have been one of the only game used home jerseys Aubin would have worn during his time in Toronto.
Born in Saint-Leonard PQ, he was the Leafs 3rd round pick in the 1979 draft after some amazing years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He had 26 points during the 1981-82 season for the Leafs and wonder why he never stuck with the club as time went on.
