A rare and special Batman logo Toronto Maple Leafs jersey, worn by goalie Paul Harrison during the first half of the 1979-80 season. These Maska jerseys with small logo on front and back, were only worn for a short period before the club changed to a regular Leafs logo just prior to new years eve, 1979. Harrison played in 30 games for the Leafs that season and this one shows some good scars from tending the twine during a rough and tumble era of NHL hockey. Nice photo match of Harrison sitting down at Maple Leaf Gardens for the team photo.
Harrison is from Timmins Ontario and was originally drafted by the Minnesota north Stars in the 1975 amateur draft. Paul played for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres to round out his career. Nice guy who I have had the pleasure of talking with, it's always nice to have jerseys from Canadian born players in the collection.
