Really hammered Ray Comeau jersey worn while suiting up for the Atlanta Flames during the 1973-74 season. The fight strap has been carefully removed by the trainer and you can see the stitching outline in the photo below. Defunct NHL jerseys are always coveted by collectors and these Flames jerseys are no exception. Very hard to find these of late as most are hanging on to them in private collections. This one is over 45 years old and just in perfect worn condition with several team repairs, un-repaired holes, board burns and lots of inner pilling. The size tag in the collar shows an extra 2 inches length added to this sweet body cover. This one was likely used for the full season during the second season ever for the Flames, 1973-74.
Ray played 10 years in the NHL, mostly for the Atlanta Flames. He also laced up his skates for the Montreal Canadiens and the Colorado Rockies. He was born In Montreal in 1948.
