This is a really nice road grey Blue Jays jersey worn by Robert Person in 1997. That season, all teams donned the Jackie Robinson patch to commemorate Robinson breaking the colour barrier in major league baseball. Imagine not allowing the best players in the world to compete in a league called the best in the world. What would baseball look like to today if that day had not occurred. What a shame so many great players never got a chance to showcase their talent.
Person heaved 128 innings for the Blue Jays that season and was 5-10 on the year. He played for the Blue Jays, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies and the Boston Red Sox to finish off his 9 year major league career.
