This is the first jersey Roy Halladay wore as a Toronto Blue Jay. In his first big league spring training, he wore 44 and was wearing this jersey the first time he ever took to the field as a big league player. This one was acquired directly from the Blue Jays. It shows nice wear and is photo matched to Roy as a new pro in 1998. Hard not to think of the tragic way Roy’s life ended. Every fan in Toronto was shocked and saddened to hear the news of his passing. There were may people, myself included, who would mainly go to see games when Halladay was taking the mound. A fierce competitor and gentleman of the game, he will be missed.
