It would certainly have been more enjoyable to have written this while Roy Halladay was still on the planet, but unfortunatley, he is not. His tragic end and sudden death shocked the baseball world and Torontonians, to their cores.
This one of a kind specialty jersey was worn by Roy after the 911 tragedy in New York City in 2011. It was fitted with a commemorative USA flag on the back as well as having the Toronto Blue Jays 25 year patch and American League 100th season patch. This set was made up for use till the end of that season. It shows nice wear as Roy wore this one for road games and pitched in several before years end. I acquired this jersey directly from the Blue Jays and it is one sweet jersey.
