This is one perfect bat from Hall of famer, Tony Perez. Perez used this R43 Louisville Slugger during his time with the Montreal Expos and is properly labelled from the 1977 to 1979 seasons. Flame treated lumber 35.5 inches long and 34 ounces, this is a war club. Ball seem and spike marks are all over the right and back side of the bat as Tony used that side to smash National League Rawlings Baseball's around the yard. Nice pine tar residue on the handle with number 24 in marker on the knob as Perez did on his gamers, with the top of the barrel showing lots of scrapes and battle scars from use. Uncracked with great use, this bat comes directly from an Expos employee who's collection we purchased. Tony ordered these R43 bats all through his career and this one matches shipping records directly from his time with the Expos. The bat is guaranteed to pass proper third party authentication.
Tony Perez played 23 years in the big leagues. He suited up for the Cincinnati Reds, Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox and the Philadelphia Phillies. He was Named and all Star 7 times and played in 5 World Series. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2000. More barrel detail showing the use to follow.
