Just a beauty of a jersey used by Wade Boggs of the Boston Red Sox. It shows really nice wear all over and was used during the 1990 season in which the Red Sox wore a black arm band in memory of popular Boston Red Sox player, Tony Conigliaro. Boggs hit .302 in 1990 and played in the All Star Game. He was inducted into the Hall OF Fame in 2005. Boggs was named to the All Star team 12 times of the 18 he played in the majors. He ended his career with 3,010 hits and a career batting average of .328, to go along with a .415 on base percentage. He played in 2,432 games and hit safely in 80% of them.
This jersey was acquired by me from a personal friend of Wally Joyner. This is the same individual my Boggs and Brett bats came from. Joyner would get him game used items from his favourite players around the league.
