These shiny Easton sticks where only made for the Great ones use after he ended his time with Titan and began a new wave of records with these amazing pearly Easton's. They would flash all over the rink and you knew who was using it for sure. The blades with this type graphic where used during the 1993 and 1994 seasons but not for sure when else. In the photo of Gretzky breaking Gordie Howes goals record of 801, you can see the same burgundy graphics on the blade while scoring 802.
Gretzky signed this game issued stick on the blade. The exact ones he would use on the ice is what you see here. The cut line tape remained on his sticks as they where not easy to remove. This stick comes from a Montreal trainers collection.
No one will touch The Great ones point total but in time, Ovi will take the goals title away form him.
Wayne Gretzky played for the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis Blues and the New York Rangers. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall Of Fame in 1999, with out the customary waiting period.
