Interesting twig here from the small amount of Sherwoods made up for Wayne Gretzky to try and get him to sign a contract to use Sherwood sticks. It shows nice use and still has the NHL sticker on the lower shaft which Gretzky usually had taken off before he would use them in games. This may have been a stick he used in practise as its taped slightly different that he had them hooked up. Very rare and impossible to find these. You will notice the same type of stick in the picture from Gretzky’s home in Brantford Ontario. The right side of the picture shows a group of sticks taped together. This is where you will find a Sherwood exactly like this one posted. Wayne sent all those sticks to his dad Walter for his collection.
