This neat and hard to find 1982 Blue Jays jersey was worn by journeyman Wayne Nordhagen. Wayne was traded twice during the 1982 season to the Jays and this one was made up quickly for him as you will notice the back number 30, seems to have been taken off another jersey and hastily sewn for his use. This is also a spare tagged jersey which the team kept for just such issues when players arrive mid season, they could be made up fast with no proper set tagging and uniform number in the neck.
Wayne was drafted in 1968 by the New York Yankees out of portland State University. He played mainly for the Chicago White Sox and suited up for 1 game with the Pittsburgh Pirates and finished his big league career with the Chicago Cubs.
This one would make a nice jersey to add to any Jays collection being one that was made up fast and in the teams sixth season in Toronto. I've had this jersey in my collection for many years.
