Ross Brooks 1974 – 75

Really nice and hammered Ross Brooks gamer, worn while with the Boston Bruins during the 1974-75 season. Ross was with the Bruins for 3 seasons after Gerry Cheevers skipped town to play in the WHA. His time in the NHL was amazing winning 37 games and only losing 7 with a stunning 2.64 GAA. Brooks first game in the NHL came at 36 years of age, and his last before he turned 40 as Gerry Cheevers returned to the Boston Garden.

The jersey has some nice tailoring done to the neck for comfort and 20 repairs to go along with the fight strap being cut out. Inner pilling, stick and puck marks are also evident throughout the jersey. This one may have been worn by Cheevers in Exhibition games prior to the 1975-76 season.  Photo matched to the action shot during a game with Bobby Orr. You can notice the collar detail having been tailored to suit his needs for a tighter fit around the neck. Brooks was born in Toronto Ontario in 1939. He spent 18 years playing in the East Coast League and the NHL.
